Relationship & Couples Therapy

All relationships take work and will come up against challenges at some point; relationship therapy can help give you insight into how you and your partner are feeling, whatever the situation.

We work with all relationships long-term, short-term, different sex, same sex couples, monogamous or non-monogamous. Therapy can also be useful for difficulty in non-couple relationships, e.g. siblings. Whether the problem is threatening your relationship, or is something you just feel you need to discuss and sort out, relationship therapy can help.

Relationships are a balance of those involved finding a way to get their needs met, whilst also meeting those of their partner, or partners. Both Kate and Rima adopt an integrative approach which is considerate of the system around a relationship and how factors such as age, finances, family and culture are having an impact.

No relationship is without its strife, but managing difficulties is key to moving forward from, and learning from them. Exploring the relationship and its challenges in therapy can offer the opportunity to see things from another perspective, and negotiate a future that you would both like to work towards, even if that means one not spent together. Therapy can help you to identify unhelpful patterns of communication and behaviour and collaborate to help you develop your own skills in resolving these concerns.
